Repair
Many textiles suffer structural damage as a result of wear and/or natural degradation processes. This is frequently catalysed by factors such as poor storage or long-term open display.
The Textile Conservancy is able to consolidate damaged textiles through application of a broad range of support techniques, from stitched repair to adhesive treatments. Each treatment is designed to achieve the maximum support to the object whilst being sympathetic to the materials of construction.
